Auckland’s much-loved Easter Show is back from April 3–6, bringing four days of classic family fun to kick off the school holidays. With roots dating back to 1843, it’s a long-standing tradition packed with carnival rides, live entertainment, sideshows and plenty to explore.

Expect everything from Farmworld and roaming farm animals to sheep dog trials and the return of the popular art show at the Logan Campbell Centre. The carnival is bigger than ever too, with Mahons Amusements rolling in crowd favourites like the Ferris wheel, Hurricane and Scream Machine, plus a new ride, Electric Speedway! Get your tickets!

New Zealand International Convention Centre

Dreamer is a brand-new indoor light festival lighting up Auckland from April 3 at the New Zealand International Convention Centre.

Set inside the vast Ariki Hall, the experience transforms the space into an interactive world of colour, movement and light, with glowing pathways and large-scale installations designed to spark curiosity and imagination. It’s fully weatherproof and perfectly timed for the school holidays, making it an easy, family-friendly day out in the city. It’s all about slowing down, exploring and getting lost in something a little magical.

Long, lazy lunches are back on the menu at Non Solo Pizza. Running every Saturday and Sunday from midday, this Italian-style long lunch is all about slowing down and sharing good food with great company. 20-25 April

Auckland Harbour Bridge

Vector Lights is honouring the courageous military personnel of Aotearoa New Zealand, past and present, with a dynamic light and sound show on the Auckland Harbour Bridge. The dynamic light and sound show will play from Monday 20 April to Saturday 25 April, from 6pm until midnight, every 15 minutes. A special showing will occur at dawn on Anzac Day (25 April).

Gather with friends and whānau to watch Vector Lights from one of the many viewing spots around Tāmaki Makaurau. Some of your favourites include Little Shoal Bay, Hobson Wharf and Westhaven Marina. Head to vector.co.nz/lights to listen live and to watch the livestream recording.

The ever-popular Silo Cinema is back, bringing movies to life against the iconic waterfront silos in one of Auckland’s best open-air settings.

7-18 April

K-POP LIVE is bringing a high-energy, all-singing, all-dancing concert tour across New Zealand this April, wrapping up at Auckland’s Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre on April 18. Running just over an hour, the show packs in iconic hits from artists like BTS, Blackpink and Stray Kids, alongside classics like Gangnam Style, all delivered with vibrant choreography and live vocals.

The production is led by Korean–New Zealand choreographer Rina Chae, widely recognised for shaping the local K-pop dance scene and working with global stars. Expect polished performances, colourful staging and even a bit of crowd interaction. It’s a fun, accessible way to experience the global K-pop phenomenon live!
