New Zealand’s biggest wine weekend is returning to Auckland this August. Winetopia Auckland 2026 brings together more than 50 premium wineries for two days of tastings, food, entertainment and unforgettable wine experiences.
Taking over the Viaduct Events Centre on 7 and 8 August, this year’s event is centred around the theme Taste World Class, inviting us to explore the wines, winemakers and stories that have helped cement New Zealand’s reputation as one of the world’s leading wine producing nations.
Curated by Lemongrass Productions, Winetopia offers the chance to sample hundreds of wines from across the country, chat directly with the people behind the bottles and discover new favourites.
Beyond the tastings, the weekend features expert led masterclasses, immersive wine experiences and plenty of entertainment.
Comedian Ben Hurley returns to host the Winetopia Main Stage, joined by a line up of special guests, live music and food and wine experiences across all three festival sessions.
One of the biggest additions for 2026 is The Future is Now, a new culinary programme celebrating six rising star chefs from some of Auckland’s leading restaurant kitchens. Each chef will create a dish designed to perfectly pair with a wine from one of New Zealand’s most respected wineries.
Food lovers can also enjoy signature dishes from pop up restaurants throughout the weekend, alongside artisan products from some of the country’s finest producers.
For those wanting to elevate the experience, the Premium Lounge includes an arrival tasting of Allan Scott Cecilia Vintage Méthode Traditionnelle paired with Mahurangi oysters, plus access to exclusive tastings, including the Meet the Winemaker series, all included in the Premium ticket. Guests also receive access to a dedicated Winetopia Concierge and complimentary coat check.
Following the success of its milestone 10th Auckland event, Winetopia continues to evolve with new experiences for returning guests while remaining one of Auckland’s most anticipated weekends for wine lovers, food enthusiasts and the wine curious.
