From 7–13 July, early risers can indulge in the ultimate breakfast treat: golden, buttery crepes oozing with Nutella, available for just $11 from the lobby crepe window. Served daily from 7am–10am, it’s the kind of start to your day that makes winter mornings feel a little less gloomy, and a lot more delicious!
Chocolate Pasta – Why Not?
Back by popular demand, the headline act at Mozzarella & Co is their dark chocolate pasta. Handmade ribbons of cocoa-infused dough are twirled tableside in the restaurant’s theatrical chocolate wheel, then topped with a zingy berry coulis and a crunchy white chocolate crumb. At $21, it’s a showstopper for both the eyes and the taste buds.
A Toast to the Sweet Life with Chocolate Martinis
Over at Bar Albert, the city’s highest rooftop bar, you can sip on a decadent Hokey Pokey Chocolate Martini ($25), shaken with Tried & True Vodka, chocolate liqueur and a melted Hokey Pokey bar syrup. All finished with a piece of fresh honeycomb from voco’s very own rooftop beehives. It’s a cocktail with serious local flavour, and of course a little buzz of its own.
“Mid-winter is the perfect time to indulge in chocolate, and we’re thrilled to offer our guests a complete chocolate journey from morning to night,” said Razman Ramzan, Food and Beverage Manager at voco Auckland City Centre. “What makes this celebration special is our honeycomb from our own rooftop beehives adding a local element to our Hokey Pokey martini. We’ve crafted something decadent for every chocolate lover, whether they prefer to start their day with Nutella crepes or end it with our theatrical chocolate pasta experience.”
