New Zealand’s Largest Sculpture Exhibition

From 8 – 23 November 2025, the clifftop park at Ōperetu Fort Takapuna will once again play host to NZ Sculpture OnShore, Aotearoa’s largest and longest-running outdoor sculpture exhibition. Set against sweeping views of the Hauraki Gulf, the biennial event features more than 120 artworks, ranging from monumental outdoor installations to intricate, hand-sized pieces.

It’s not just an art experience, but an event with heart. Since its inception 29 years ago, NZ Sculpture OnShore has raised more than $2.6 million for Women’s Refuge New Zealand, supporting women and children affected by domestic violence.

Visitors can wander through the open-air displays and historic underground fort, explore works by emerging and established artists from across the country, and even purchase pieces, with proceeds going directly to Women’s Refuge.
