Onslow and Maison Krug Present Krug x Music in Auckland

For the third year running, Auckland restaurant Onslow and Maison Krug are continuing their celebrated partnership with the launch of Krug x Music, an immersive dining experience that explores the connection between Champagne, gastronomy and sound.

On 23rd July in Onslow’s private dining room, the one night only event will bring together a five course menu by Chef Josh Emett, five distinguished Krug Champagnes and a series of original musical compositions designed to enhance the tasting experience.

As the home of Krug in New Zealand and one of only a select number of Krug Ambassades worldwide, Onslow is part of an exclusive network of dining destinations chosen for their shared commitment to craftsmanship, individuality and exceptional hospitality.

For more than a decade, Maison Krug has explored the relationship between music and flavour, creating sound pairings that reveal new dimensions within its Champagnes.

The philosophy extends beyond the glass, with Krug Cellar Master Julie Cavil likening the blending of wines to the work of a conductor, bringing together individual notes to create harmony.

Guests attending Krug x Music will enjoy five Champagnes, including Krug Grande Cuvée 173ème Édition, Krug Vintage 2013 and Krug Rosé 28ème Édition, each paired with a bespoke dish and accompanied by an original composition from Krug’s international music programme.

Among the menu highlights is roast duck on crown with preserved Cromwell cherries and cassoulet Toulousain, paired with Krug Rosé 28ème Édition, showcasing the depth and vibrant fruit character of the cuvée while celebrating seasonal New Zealand ingredients through classic culinary techniques.

“Krug and Onslow share a commitment to pursuing excellence without compromise. As the home of Krug in New Zealand, we’re privileged to bring experiences like Krug x Music to our guests, creating moments that celebrate not only exceptional Champagne and cuisine, but the artistry and emotion that connect them,” says Chef Josh Emett.

Limited to a select number of guests, the evening has been designed for collectors, connoisseurs and lovers of exceptional Champagne. It also marks the beginning of a broader programme of Krug experiences at Onslow, including ongoing Champagne pairings and special treats inspired by the Maison’s philosophy of craftsmanship and sensory discovery.

Krug x Music takes place on Thursday 23 July, with arrivals from 6.30pm. Tickets are available here.
