Sienna has opened its doors on Fort Street and it already feels like a little slice of California tucked into the city. Sitting inside the new TRIBE Auckland Fort Street hotel, the all-day eatery brings a sunny mix of Baja flavours, breezy design and that easy, effortless dining style that makes you want to stay a bit longer… and cocktail a little more!
The space is full of colour and warmth, with jewel tones, terrazzo speckles and mid-century touches that give it a relaxed LA energy. It’s the kind of spot that works for everything from morning matcha to late-night cocktails, shifting easily as the day goes on.

The menu pulls inspiration from Baja to Beverly Hills. You’ll find citrusy ceviche, cod tacos, charred corn elote and smoky share plates alongside bigger dishes like the wagyu flank steak, a very convincing eggplant schnitzel for the veg-leaning crowd… and (coming from the burger lover) an extra juicy So-Cal smash burger.
A lot of the menu also happens to be naturally gluten-friendly too, which adds to the easygoing vibe.
As the sun dips, so does the mood. Drinks turn beachy with spritzes, margaritas and frozen Mangonada Margaritas, plus a Yuzu Paloma and Tamarindo Spritz that taste like golden hour in a glass. If you’re skipping the booze though, every signature cocktail can be made zero-proof. And for dessert, the Frozen Mango with chilli caramel syrup is a fun nod to Baja summers.

You can sit up at the bar for a bit of buzz, tuck into a banquette, grab a table outside on Fort Street or join the communal table for something a bit looser. It’s designed to feel flexible and a little spontaneous, like the kind of place where brunch turns into lunch and then somehow it’s cocktail time.
“Auckland’s CBD has always been a melting pot of the best of international cuisine,” says Antonela Comuzio, Tribe Fort Street General Manager. “With Sienna, we’re excited to add something new to the mix — flavour-packed meals that are delicious and accessible for travellers and locals; a real taste of So-Cal in the city.”
Sienna’s whole thing is about connection, good food and the simple pleasure of being exactly where you are.
